GGS is delighted to be presenting at the Property Care Assocation (PCA) Conference 2018 on Thursday 13th September.
This will be the third annual PCA Structural Waterproofing Conference, which will take place at The University of Warwick on Thursday 13th September.
As a registered trade association, the PCA promotes the work of specialist and reliable contractors to clients as well as acting as an industry voice on behalf of its members. Providing consultation to government departments on the development of guidelines, the PCA encourages high levels of industry standards which it drives forward through its training courses.
Offering valuable insights across a range of topics from a packed programme of knowledgeable speakers, the PCA Structural Waterproofing Conference will be of interest to anyone working in structural waterproofing. PCA members and non-members, contractors, surveyors, lawyers, public authorities and academics are all welcome to attend what will be an informative and enjoyable day.
Following his successful presentation at the 2017 conference, “Understanding Gas Protection Measure Selection within Waterproofing Systems”, John Naylor, Technical Director at GGS, will be speaking again this year. Waterproofing and gas protection have maintained a detached existence to date. However, as an increasing proportion of properties with sub structures are being constructed on gas affected sites, awareness of the potential issues is increasing. This leads to the question, which respective sector British Standards take priority? This informative and engaging presentation titled “BS8102 v BS8576 Top Trumps” will focus on the main issues of gas protection for a water-resistant structure and pointers for progress.
We look forward to seeing you in Coventry on Thursday 13th September.
