29May / 2019
The next British Verification Council (BVC) meeting will be held on Wednesday 26th June 2019 in Burton. If you’d like to attend, become a member or sign up for the NVQ Diploma in Verification, now is the time.
What is the BVC?
The BVC is the product of a group of experts in the field of ground gas verification that demand higher industry standards. Founded in 2017, it is a rapidly expanding group of like-minded specialists that are continuously developing best practice methods in verification that builds on the CIRIA C735 guidance. Independent in nature and detached from commercial influence, this membership organisation represents the gold standard within the sector and a hub of excellence that organisations can trust.
What is the ABBE Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Verification?
The BVC with its partner agencies has created the ABBE Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Verification of Ground Gas Protection Systems qualification. This certification is now available to those wanting the knowledge, understanding and skills required for independent verification.
The NVQ Diploma in Verification is aimed at learners who wish to become third-party verifiers of ground gas protection systems. Independent testing and verification of these installations is an important and valuable role, particularly as the ground gas protection systems are a key safety feature. The degree and intensity of independent verification should reflect the assessed level of risk, the nature of the ground gas protection system, the quality of the product(s) and the competence of the installers.
