GGS looks forward to spending the day in Edinburgh discussing the latest challenges and successes in brownfield development at Brownfield Land Scotland.
The first of Environment Analyst’s annual programme of events, Brownfield Land Scotland promises a high-quality forum for environmental professionals to confer on the current techniques and technologies associated with brownfield land development. Taking place on Wednesday 5th February at the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel, delegates will receive the latest on planning and regulatory standards for brownfield land development in Scotland, as well as providing best practice solutions to present challenges in the risk assessment and remediation of contaminated land.
As experts in ground gas monitoring, risk assessment and remediation, senior members of the GGS team look forward to deliberating the issues with fellow professionals, including regulators, consultants, contaminated land officers, and environmental health officers.
As well as exhibiting at Brownfield Land Scotland, GGS is supporting the event’s diverse and interesting speaker programme by leading one of it’s thought provoking and insightful break-out sessions. At 2:20pm Matt Askin, Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant at GGS, will facilitate Session F. Ground Gas: New Approaches to Ground Gas Risk Assessment & Appropriate Monitoring & Verification. Matt is a chartered scientist with over fifteen years’ experience in the UK environmental sector. With a background in both regulatory and consultancy roles, he has extensive skills in investigating and managing environmental challenges.
